Letta

Letta has been with us since the beginning, with her goofy smiles, constant nose boops, and love of making new furry friends.

After the sudden loss of Catherine’s parents in 2018 she found Letta at the Humane Society. She had been through a lot in her life, none of them good and they warned Catherine that Letta was refusing to go up to anyone that has come to see her. Until that day.

Letta walked right up to her, placed her head on her lap, and Catherine cried. Letta came home with her that day and they both started healing. It took about 6 months to help Letta overcome all that had been done to her, but she did and is an amazing, loving dog that calls Loving Paws her home.

Catherine Stockton

Loving Paws began as a way to start over after the passing of my parents and became a business that I could share with my daughters. I have never been a person who could do things small, even when a doctor tells me to. So my idea of watching a couple of dogs grew into what it is today and I couldn’t be happier.

Due to my health, I am a bit behind the scenes lately, but I am always available for any questions you might have.

In May of 2022, I received a message from a GI Doctor informing me that I have Stage 4 Liver Disease.

How does that happen when you don’t drink, rarely get a cold, and have been healthy? You get put on a pill for anxiety and depression after losing your parents. This was not easy to accept, and even harder to explain to my girls.

Thanks to my daughters, and an amazing medical team we have slowed it and a lot of my lab tests are looking better. Sadly my liver will not improve, but the life I lead can be a good one.

Georgie

Our Momma Bear,

Georgie has only been with us for a year but has captured our hearts in many ways. I will be forever thankful that I was chosen to be her mom for the later years of her life.

The big guy you see behind her is Moe, he is one of our Daycare/Boarding pups. Plus! Is from one of her litters! How exciting is that?

We also have Luna and Rainier who round out our bear colony here at Loving Paws.

Monica Kerr

Her love of animals shows with each interaction you have when you call to set up a Meet & Greet, have a question answered, or encounter her in the pile of pups in the yard at drop-off time.

Monica is the youngest of the family having graduated in 2015. However due to the loss of her grandparents, which caused a sudden move (2019), then COVID-19 (2020) which turned out well due to Catherine starting Loving Paws, but then Catherine got sick (2022) she had to grow up fast.

She is still a kid at heart, sensitive, and loving, but strives to give the business her all!

Monica is that voice you hear when you call, the one that meets with you on your first day here, she does her best to answer your questions and fix any issues and is the Owner of Meira, a Loving Paws friendly Greeter.

Meira

Our friendly Meet & Greet pup who loves to make new friends! Plus help them and their hooman’s feel welcome.

Meira is our Covid puppy. She was abandoned in a drainage ditch with her litter pups at the start of the Covid-19 shutdown.

Monica immediately told Catherine her story, so they drove to Ephrata instantly fell in love with her, signed all the adoption paperwork, and brought her home.

She has grown with Loving Paws which has been amazing to watch, and in doing that has become our happy little greeter that so many look forward to seeing.

Cheyann

Chey is that bundle of energy that the pups have deemed to be their personal play toy as they see who’s the strongest in tug-a-war, then who’s the fastest as they chase the ball, and even bear tackles with the Bernese.

She is that quiet one who comes out to the cars, with the happy-to-see-you smile but is nervous which shows she was in customer service before Covid just long enough to learn the damaging effects it can have.

Cheyann is the main reason why Catherine is happy Loving Paws took off as well as it has. It was hard for her to see the girls come home at night in tears due to the treatment they received from their supervisor, or customers at work.

Now they get to play with dogs throughout the day and meet amazing pet parents, and they are happy, truly happy. What more could a parent ask for?
